Well over the last week or so we have been flat out with buying, fixing and socialising! But we managed to escape for the weekend to have a look at the miniature horse show in Tamworth. The story is that when we get back, Chris is going to buy me two miniature horses because we have both fallen in love with them! So we thought we should go to the national show to see what it's all about and how easy it is to keep a miniature horse.
So we trundled off to the show in our new truck to test it out, with the caravan hitched up behind. Unfortunately after a few delays, we ended up arriving in Tamworth at 12:30am! But the truck did very well. It was sooo easy to drive. I am so surprised.
Erin and Laurence also came a long to see what the miniature horses were all about and Erin fell in love too! What's not to love about these gorgeous little creatures!!! They were smarter and left earlier, so got in at a reasonable time. But getting in late didn't stop me being up at 8am in the morning to see the horsies!!!

Some of the people even had custom horse floats for miniature horses, which obviously were smaller.

I'm am having an absolute blast!!! |
We made friends with a lot of owners and stud owners and we learnt quite a lot. We will look forward to catching up with everyone when we get back to get some pointers! :)

What a cutie!!! |
|
I was patting some of the horses and then the guy in the stripey coat came over to see what it was all about... |
|
He was so inquisitive and then got a well deserved neck rub! |
On the way back to the van on the last day, we met this little guy. He was so adorable, I had to give him a cuddle. To my surprise he cuddled right back!!! Oh I am absoloutely beside myself. I want one now to take home!!!
So after we had another good look around on Sunday, it was time to head back to Sydney to continue getting ready for the Northern Territory. Oh so much to do so little time!
