Chris, Stephanie, Mum, Duncan and I took a drive west of Bundaberg to a place called Monto to camp for three nights. I don't know if you could really call it camping though because it was luxury! We had jumping pillows, Water Slides, three pools etc! On the way of course we had a few obstacles. We lost our bathroom hatch...lets hope it doesn't rain until we get around to fixing that, cracked the windscreen again and Chris forgot to pack the BBQ. It was a wonderful start to our trip :)
Anyway we got there and it was beautiful. There is lots of wildlife including Parrots and Bettong's (half Kangaroo half rat).
So here we are setting up camp.

We have a visitor on our roof. There were lots of parrots. |

The next morning we were greeted by the wildlife. I'm not so sure about birds, especially these cheeky ones.

Someone's getting a bit adventurous trying to steel Chris's breakfast!!! |
|
Alright!!! It was ok to laugh at Chris but why is it coming to me!!!! |
|
Charming! |
|
Stop looking at me with those beady eyes! |
|
Don't you come over here! |
After breakfast, we went for a number of walk through Cania Gorge.

A natural swing on the track |
After our walk we cooled down in the pool and on the waterslide. It was so much fun!!! Unfortunately Chris knocked his head on the slide when going down front first (i wasn't allowed to get a photo) and ended up with an egg on his head. So we relaxed in the pool after that :)

Mummy! |
For dinner we had a very yummy roast in the thermal cooker. It was soooo good. The meat was so juicy. It was a great meal after a long hot day. Luckily it cooled down at night and we were able to relax around the fire.
|
Chris as always organising the fire |
|
Ha ha ha, just noticed that it looks like Steph is putting her hand in the fire!!!
Jumping Pillow!!! But the time I got photos was too early in the morning!!! We were so sore after it! |

Going through corn country |
|
There was so many bats in Gayndah, they are trying to come up with a solution to move them on because they are such pests |
Well this was a great 4 days in Monto, it involved lots of wildlife and excersize! Stephanie and I had an entorage of kids follow us after we befriended them at the waterslide. So whenever we moved on to the pool and jumping pillow etc we had about 10 kids follow us. But we had lots of fun!
