De Gray River Camping

We left Broome and were heading to 80 Mile Beach. When we got to the Sandfire Roadhouse, opposite 80 Mile Beach, we realised it was at least a 13km drive down a dirt road to even get to the beach. So we thought we would give it a miss and head towards Port Headland.

Our view for a verrrrry long time!

The Sandfire Roadhouse the only thing between Broome and Port Headland

A very interesting sight to see in the middle of nowhere!!!

Sharing a sunset with one of the many road trains

We were driving through the night and stopped at the De Grey River to sleep. When we woke up in the morning we realised what a gem of a place we had just stayed at, so we decided to stay for 3 nights! We went for walks, did some fishing, read and were dazed by the campfire. Megatron loved the muddy riverbanks, so he had to have yet another bath!!! He also loved "helping" Chris collect firewood. Chris dragged the branches with the dog attached to them!

A couple found this snake so Chris tried to wrangle it :) Unfortunately the woman thought that if Chris could do it, so could she! So she started grabbing at it to touch it. It was halarious, she was lucky he snake was cold!
