The other side of Melbourne

We left Geelong and met my cousin Naomi for lunch. Chris and I first took Megatron for a walk around Ringwood Lake to wear him out. We drove up to the Dandenongs and had a lovely lunch and dessert!

We then drove over to Sandringham where we stayed a few nights. We visited my brother Dallas and caught up with my other brother Chris and David. We got to watch Chris play on Saturday night in his band "Lights on Heathrow". It was a great night!

After a great sleep in we had lunch with Chris and Pam. Then we went and played basketball on my brother David's team. It was so much fun.

Then it was on to Berwick to visit my Aunty Glenys and Uncle Malcolm. We had a great time there and got to visit my cousins, Matt, Wesley and his wife Bree and their little boy Ollie and Nicole and her Fiance Kim. We also got to catch up with my Nana.

An unexpetedly HUGE lunch!!!

Visiting family in Geelong

Chris and I had a great time visiting family in Geelong. We got to spend some really good quality time with Grandma and Grandpa and my Dad, Sunny and Cheyenne. We did a bit of exploring and wine tasting. But most of all got to spend time with my little sister Cheyenne, who I don't get to see very often. So these times with family are so important to us!

Cheyenne's pet bearded dragon - Spike

Cheyenne was very good at making the dog do his tricks!

Hang on... Chris doesn't have the treats!

The Great Ocean Road Part 2

We had an interesting night in the Otway Ranges last night!!! We were parked on the side of the road in the middle of the forest and in the middle of the night we heard the strangest noise!!! It sounded like a steam train followed by grunting. It was so loud and startled both of us. We thought it could have been an animal of some kind and were thinking that it may have been a koala. In the morning we woke up to find three koalas right above the caravan in the trees!!! It was amazing!!!! But what a horid noise they make!

We drove on and enjoyed the spectacular views all the way to Split Point Lighthouse, where we got out and had a stroll.

What a crazy house!!!

A bit of rope we found on the beach. Mega's always up for tug of war!

We stopped in Geelong and had lunch with Grandma, Grandpa and Dad. After lunch we found a caravan park to stay in as a base for visting people over the next couple of days. We then had a cozy night in.

The Great Ocean Road

Today we were able to see so much, even though we had a late start. We drove to Port Fairy and went for a walk up to the cannon battery which was really interesting. The we looked at all the great shops at Port Fairy. I'm so glad we don't have a house, becuase I may have gone crazy buying so many nice things for it! There was another nice kitchen and produce store where we bought some Buffalo cheese. I'm looking forward to getting in to that! Then we had some lunch.

A poweder magazine

We were stopped in the street by a family who were so interested in Megatron, because they have the same looking dog but didn't know what it was or what it looked like as a puppy because they rescued it when it was older. So we exchanged photos and talked about the dogs, while Mega lapped up all the attention! They even offered to puppysit Mega if we wanted to go to Wilsons Promotory National Park because they live close by to it. It was so funny, but really lovely to meet such nice people!

It was time to hit the road again and this time we just strated driving with no real plan of where we were going to end up, hang on that's what we have done the whole time actully :) Anyway, before we knew it, we had reached The Bay of Isles...

The Archway...

The London Bridge... There is a funny story behind this. I actually crossed the london bridge the day before it collapsed back in 1990!

And of course The 12 Apostles!

After seeing these wonderful sights, we started our drive through the Otway Ranges and camped on the side of the road in the middle of a forest.
