Exploring Katherine

Chris and I went out to Katherine Gorge today to see what there is to see. It is very beautiful. The walk was strenuous but worth it. It was definitely not for the grey nomads as it wasn't a shaded track and you have a lot of rocky climbing to do in between gorgeous views. Unfotunately we were only able to do one of the walking tracks as the others were closed for Aerial Pest Removal. But at least that made our decision easy to choose what track to go up!

Lovely shady track as you can see :)

A gentle incline...NOT!

We did the Baruwei Walk via the Lookout

The Steep Climb Down

After looking around the gorge, we had a look at a few of the nearby rivers and tried a spot of fishing...again with no luck! But in the meantime we came across a motocross track. So we will go out to that tommorow morning! One of the guys at the track was really nice and has invited us to go mountain bike riding tommorow night with him and his mates. I think Chris will go, I might have some girly time.

Everyone here drinks Iced coffee. It's so weird! There is no chocolate milk, just iced coffee. They even sell it at the Macca's here in Katherine!
