Mucking around at the Kununurra Rodeo Grounds

We have had a great time here at the rodeo grounds so far. Work was busy on Saturday night. We had a cue of at least 30 the whole night. We worked 11 hours straight!!! We have met some great people here. Paul and his family who live here are heaps of fun. After recooperating after a very busy Saturday night, we started the real fun!

We had a popcorn and card game night.

I actually got up one morning to see the sunrise. I was a little scared of the Dingos so I didn't really want to walk too far away from he camp to get the pictures.

Our camping spot

We have been going out at night looking for crocs and snakes. Chris, Harland and I have been going out hunting the last couple of nights. Chris and Harland went looking for trees for Digeridoos on the motorbikes and went exploring. I got to ride one of Paul's horses that he bred and broke. Paul breaks horses for a living along with all sorts of other things.
A Little Eagle we found on our travels, I nearly hit it on my bike because it flew straight in front of me!

The rodeo bulls we riled up chasing them around the paddock

Chris and the boys have been up to no good playing pranks. We found a dead snake and tucked it in the mens toilets rafter with some fishing line and when someone walks in there, they pull the line and the snake falls into their lap. They have had a lot of laughs over that. And one of the guys here has been a bit annoying so we have been playing pranks on him. The land that we are on is actually sacred Aboriginal land and a lot of the Aboriginies from the desert come through here to do the traditional law. Anyway we told one of the guys that they were coming through and to be careful. So at night in the pitch black, Paul put flour all over himself and put the feathers on and stuff and played the bullroarer which makes a really eerie howling noise. Jim was so scared, he turned all his lights off and locked all the doors. Then last night, Chris and Harland went out in the back of the paddock in the bush and played the tapping sticks and digeridoo. The poor guy nearly had a heart attack!

Where did he go??? :)

So we have had a lot of fun here. I think we might actually stay for a while :)
